About the Role
At Expedia Group, we help travelers explore the world, one journey at a time. As a global travel company powered by passionate people, trusted partnerships, and leading technology, we connect travelers, partners, and advertisers through our consumer brands, B2B network, and travel advertising business. Here, you'll do meaningful work that helps millions of people discover, book, and experience travel with more ease, confidence, and joy. Our five Behaviors—Traveler First, Think Big, Operate with Excellence, Ownership Mindset, and Succeed Together—help foster a supportive environment where people can grow their careers and have the flexibility, benefits, and support to do their best work. Join us and build for travelers everywhere.

We are hiring a Manager, SEO Content & AI Search Optimization (SEM) to join the SEM team and focus on optimizing the content used by AI-powered search and ads. This role enhances query matching, dynamically optimizes ad creatives, and refines landing page targeting for search campaigns. It is a high-visibility individual contributor position partnering closely with SEM, SEO, Product & Tech, Analytics, and external media partners.

Key responsibilities include owning the intersection of SEO content and AI-powered SEM asset optimization, evaluating how search and ad platforms use landing page content to generate creative and select final URLs, and identifying opportunities to improve messaging that works for both SEO and SEM while remaining on-brand and compliant. You will collaborate with SEO and AI search teams on testing and optimizing meta elements and on-page content, help shape a shared experimentation roadmap, design and run structured experiments with SEM Ops and Analytics, and translate results into clear recommendations and scalable playbooks.

You will represent Expedia Group with major search partners as a primary SEM/SEO contact, provide structured feedback and feature requests, and help evaluate new AI capabilities. Partnering with analytics and data engineering, you will design dashboards and reporting to track adoption and performance of AI-powered search features, using SQL and Python to analyze large-scale data.

Additionally, you will drive documentation and cross-functional alignment by writing clear briefs, test plans, experiment read-outs, and FAQs to make complex AI behavior understandable. You will lead recurring forums and working sessions with SEM, SEO, Product & Tech, Analytics, and external partners to align on roadmap and decisions. As an AI-automation enthusiast, you will experiment with LLMs and AI agents to automate repetitive work and share best practices to help the team adopt AI responsibly and effectively.

Requirements

Experience
Extensive experience in SEO, including technical and content aspects such as title tags, meta descriptions, schema, internal linking, and understanding how search engines evaluate landing pages. Comfortable collaborating on continuous testing and optimization of SEO content with product and engineering teams. SEM experience is a plus but not required; enthusiasm to learn about search ads and AI-powered search features is essential. Proven track record designing experiments and making data-driven decisions. Strong analytical skills with ability to query and analyze data using SQL and Python.

Experience as a product-adjacent PM, growth/marketing PM, or similar individual contributor operating at manager-level scope, independently building and executing roadmaps across multiple stakeholders in marketing and product environments.

About you
Product-minded and data-driven with strong communication skills. Able to translate complex technical and AI concepts into clear narratives for marketers, engineers, and leadership. Excellent written communication skills with a natural ability to create reliable documentation. Enthusiastic about AI and automation, with hands-on experience using generative AI tools and a strong interest in orchestrating AI agents to augment work.

Qualifications
No specific formal qualifications required, but a strong background in SEO, analytics, and product collaboration is expected. A positive attitude towards learning SEM and AI technologies is essential.
