About the Role
The London Borough of Enfield Integrated Mental Health Service is seeking experienced Mental Health Social Workers and Approved Mental Health Practitioners (AMHPs) to join our fully integrated multidisciplinary Community Mental Health Teams and centralised AMHP Service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable people, contribute to mental health service transformation, and influence the practice of aspiring social workers and AMHPs through Practice Education and ASYE programs.

The AMHP role is unique, encompassing work with both children and adults, making the work varied and wide-ranging. AMHPs play a vital role in safeguarding and supporting our most vulnerable residents.

We are looking for imaginative and dynamic practitioners motivated to contribute positively to the transformation of mental health social care, promoting social recovery and empowerment models. You will work in meaningful partnerships with service users, carers, and families, using person-centred assessment skills and strengths-based, enabling principles. Coordination and planning skills with a focus on prevention, recovery, wellbeing, and dignity outcomes are essential.

Enfield prides itself on a supportive work culture with strong partnerships with the North London Partnership Mental Health Trust and a stable management team that provides social workers with the autonomy to deliver first-class services. This role offers professional peer support, clinical supervision, and excellent professional development and training opportunities.

Employed by Enfield Local Authority and seconded to Barnet, Enfield & Haringey NHS Mental Health Trust, you will benefit from positive practical working partnerships between the two organisations.

Enfield is a culturally diverse borough with a mix of affluent and deprived wards, industrial, residential, and countryside areas. It has excellent transport links to Central London and beyond via the M25 and A406.

If you are motivated by personalised services, professional autonomy, and integrated multidisciplinary working, this role could be your next step.
