Description
Your typical day could start with processing invoices through our OCR tool, ensuring they are coded correctly and entered into the system within target times. Then you might liaise with suppliers and colleagues to resolve queries on outstanding invoices, helping to clear approval backlogs. Later in the day, you could reconcile supplier statements, ensuring accounts are up to date, before supporting the Payments Business Partner with preparing journal entries in the SUN accounting system. As a Payments Officer, you’ll be ensuring efficient and accurate payment processes. You’ll play a crucial role in delivering excellent service to both internal and external stakeholders, helping to maintain strong relationships and proactively resolving any payment-related queries. You’re a detail-focused individual who thrives on organisation and problem-solving. You’ll enjoy working collaboratively with suppliers and colleagues while managing your own workload to meet deadlines. Based on the role requirements, you’ll have the flexibility to work both in the office and remotely, ensuring a productive and balanced work environment. Your role covers all aspects of payment processing, from invoice management to reconciliation, helping to continuously improve our financial services and customer satisfaction.
