Description
As a People Consultant you’ll work closely with senior managers, providing expert advice and coaching to help implement and deliver Local People Plans and manage change processes, including TUPE transfers. You'll support transformation projects, gather and analyse business intelligence, and develop insights to guide decisions that make a measurable impact. With your deep understanding of the business, local context, and strategic goals, you will challenge and influence leaders, build trusted relationships, and champion effective partnerships across the organisation.
You’re a people person who likes to get things done. To succeed in this role, you’ll need to combine your strong technical knowledge and professional expertise with a collaborative mindset and a knack for problem-solving. You’ll be confident in delivering managing change projects, providing clear, consistent advice, and using evidence to back your recommendations. As a key player in the People Team, you’ll demonstrate excellent customer service, ensuring that your reports and insights are both practical and impactful
You’ll need to be in the office for 2 days per week and the remaining time you’ll be able to work remotely.
In this role, you’ll work closely with Heads of Service and Assistant Directors on a variety of ongoing projects, providing expert guidance and support to drive their success. You will play a key role in managing change processes, ensuring smooth transitions and positive outcomes. A significant part of the role will involve assisting senior leaders in understanding and effectively utilising data to inform decisions and strategies. Collaboration will be at the heart of your work, as you partner with the wider People Team to deliver seamless support and achieve shared goals.

We are looking for someone who is a CIPD member or associate. You’ll need a strong understanding of operational demands and constraints, experience in a similar role within People and Culture, and the ability to engage and challenge senior leaders effectively. A self-motivated, solutions-focused attitude and a commitment to continuous improvement will be essential to your success
