About the Role
The International Content Design team conceptualises, designs, and creates content experiences for some of Apple’s most visible products. As Photo Studio Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of Apple Music's Visuals Studio photo team in London, managing production, photographer resourcing, coordinator oversight, and studio operations at our Battersea studios. This role is central to the photo team’s operations, supervising photo producers and coordinators who run individual shoots, while managing dedicated studio photographers, studio space, scheduling, and equipment.

You will partner closely with Visuals Studio art directors, photo producers, motion content teams, artist relations, and business partnerships to ensure smooth production and operational workflows. Occasionally, you will support projects across other Services such as Podcasts, TV, and Maps as studio needs arise.

Key responsibilities include overseeing and supporting the photo producer and coordinator team across all active productions to ensure timelines, workflows, and deliverables stay on track; managing studio photographer resourcing including scheduling, staffing strategy, and onboarding; managing photo capture spaces and shoot day logistics; partnering with cross-functional teams to integrate photo team processes into the broader production pipeline; tracking artist visits, captures, and performances to inform staffing strategy; advocating for the photo production team by coordinating image requests and ensuring timely asset delivery; tracking photo approvals and quality-checking decks and links; developing and maintaining production processes and documentation; acting as a key contact between internal teams and studio photographers; managing spatial content capture and collaborations; supporting onsite studio captures which may require travel; and managing the quarterly photo studio budget including equipment orders, studio bookings, and production costs.

Experience translating creative briefs into realistic, cost-effective production plans with strong budget management skills. Contract and fee negotiation experience with photographers, agents, and vendors. Music, entertainment, or live event production experience is highly desirable.

About you
A calm, proactive, and positive team player who thrives in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment and stays composed under pressure. Ability to build and implement standardised processes and best practices as the team scales internationally. Ability to provide and present a portfolio or case studies of past productions managed at scale. Flexibility to work and partner with colleagues across timezones when required.
