About the Role
At Apple, we focus deeply on our customers’ experience. Apple Ads brings this same approach to advertising, helping people find exactly what they’re looking for and helping advertisers grow their businesses. Our technology powers ads and sponsorships across Apple Services, including the App Store, Apple News, and MLS Season Pass. Everything we do is designed for trust, connection, and impact: we respect user privacy, integrate advertising thoughtfully into the experience, and deliver value for advertisers of all sizes—from small app developers to big, global brands. Because when advertising is done right, it benefits everyone.
The Policy and Compliance Analyst will provide a technical lens to the business operations team, helping our organisation make critical and informed decisions involving policy creation and enforcement, risk assessment, fraud mitigation, and platform policy compliance. This role involves significant interaction with groups across Apple Ads, including business operations, policy, product, engineering, and privacy teams.
The successful candidate will be comfortable handling large data sets, modeling, analysis, and written presentations, with a strong understanding of market trends and competitive platforms. They will be a subject matter expert in policy creation, enforcement, and risk analysis for our advertising products and platforms. Responsibilities include aligning business policy with partners across Apple and escalating concerns, managing policy and risk analysis for multiple countries and products, delivering policy insights and recommendations using first and third-party data, and monitoring and optimising policy effectiveness to maximise user experience, revenue, and performance.
Additional duties include informing daily policy operations, process, and customer communications; developing competitive platform analysis outlining policy regulations and restrictions; maintaining centralised Ads policy documentation as a department reference guide; conducting ad hoc scenario analysis in support of product, service, and policy initiatives; ongoing analysis of policy, fraud trends, and platform/product susceptibility per market; coordinating and implementing best practices between internal and external groups; supporting cross-functional teams executing manual ad review; monitoring and reporting policy infringement or fraudulent trends; applying learnings and driving efficiencies in policy maintenance, creation, and enforcement; acting as a primary stakeholder for compliance and fraud systems and tools; and ensuring platform initiatives comply with Apple policy at large.
Experience
Experience in policy enforcement or digital fraud mitigation is ideal. Demonstrated ability delivering data-driven insights. Strong research skills with the ability to evaluate competitive platforms and markets. Practical experience using LLM-based tools for research, writing, or data analysis in a professional or academic setting. Experience in data mining to investigate policy and fraud activities. Extensive quantitative experience and proficiency in SQL querying.
About you
Curious about how AI/agentic tools can be applied to policy, compliance, or fraud workflows, with a willingness to learn. High attention to detail, organised, team-oriented, and able to work under tight deadlines. Strong verbal, visual, and written communication skills. Inquisitive with an ability to navigate ambiguity related to policy and regulations. Ability to distil new information and make decisions based on multiple factors and options. Self-directed, solution-oriented, takes initiative, and keen to share knowledge with others.
Qualifications
An academic qualification in Computer Science or a quantitative equivalent, or some academic experience with statistics, is beneficial. Mastery of Keynote and Excel/Numbers is required.
