About the Role
This client-facing role is for a BI developer specialising in the Microsoft technology stack, supporting major infrastructure programmes with an initial focus on a major airport infrastructure project. You will be responsible for structuring project data, improving Power BI outputs and supporting a consistent monthly reporting cadence. Additionally, you will contribute to Mace Construct’s wider reporting and digital delivery ecosystem, supporting reusable data, Power BI reporting, project controls insight, PPC reporting and data-led ways of working across project teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver end-to-end BI and reporting solutions from requirements gathering through to deployment and support
- Collaborate with project teams to translate reporting needs into scalable data models, dashboards and insights
- Develop reusable data foundations for structured, governed and reusable project information
- Mature reporting across major infrastructure programmes including project planning, commercial, cost, programme, supply chain, finance and delivery performance
- Own Power BI reporting products, maintaining quality, adding content, coordinating updates and supporting reporting cadence
- Support adoption of consistent tools, standards and ways of working within the reporting and digital delivery ecosystem
- Promote use of digital tools such as Morta to improve project information capture and reporting
- Support emerging AI-enabled workflows and automation to enhance reporting efficiency
- Ensure quality and timeliness of deliverables for self and team members
- Share knowledge through documentation, learning materials and guidance to support adoption and maintainability

Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience with Power BI and the wider Power BI stack including semantic models, dataflows, apps, deployment and report lifecycle management
- Strong Power Query and data transformation skills with knowledge of efficient ETL design, query folding and repeatable data preparation
- Advanced DAX and data modelling skills including variables, filter context and model design principles
- Experience working with structured project datasets such as project controls, commercial, cost, programme, supply chain or delivery performance data
- Ability to translate operational and project reporting requirements into scalable Power BI semantic models and reports
- Experience working in Integrated Project Teams and managing stakeholders including clients, project managers and data owners

- Eye for high-quality report design focusing on visual layout, usability, accessibility and interaction design
- Understanding of Power BI capabilities and supporting platforms including Microsoft Fabric and SharePoint

- Confident communicator with excellent written and oral English skills

- Problem-solving aptitude and strong interpersonal skills

Nice to Have
- Knowledge or experience with BI and data analytics software and languages such as Python, JSON, R, JavaScript, SQL
