About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Principal Technical Engineer with deep experience in Kubernetes and the CNCF landscape to join our growing team at London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG). In this hands-on role, you will be a key contributor to the design, implementation and maintenance of our Kubernetes infrastructure, ensuring its scalability, reliability and security. You will provide technical leadership and mentorship to other engineers, driving best practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This role offers significant opportunities to impact our technical strategy and influence the direction of our platform. You will lead cloud platform builds and software engineering teams supporting critical applications at scale in cloud environments.

Experience
- Proven experience building and leading strong engineering teams with a passion for people management and mentorship
- Extensive hands-on experience designing, implementing and managing Kubernetes-based cloud infrastructure
- Deep knowledge of cloud native technologies on at least one major cloud provider (AWS preferred)
- Experience designing and delivering production cloud solutions at scale
- Strong understanding of security, risk and compliance frameworks, disaster recovery, high availability architectures, hardware, operating systems and networking connectivity
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools and practices (e.g. Terraform)
- Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies and modern SDLC practices

Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
- Preferably hold CKA, CKAD and CKS certifications
- Demonstrated expertise in cloud computing principles and technologies across major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
