About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Principal Technical Engineer with deep experience in Kubernetes and the CNCF landscape to join our growing team at London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG). In this hands-on role, you will be a key contributor to the design, implementation and maintenance of our Kubernetes infrastructure, ensuring its scalability, reliability and security. You will provide technical leadership and mentorship to other engineers, driving best practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This role offers significant opportunities to impact our technical strategy and influence the direction of our platform. You will lead teams building cloud platforms supporting critical applications at scale in the cloud, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure initiatives with business goals.

Experience
- People management experience with a passion for mentorship and building strong teams
- Hands-on experience in software development methodologies and Agile delivery
- Proven experience with Cloud Native technologies on at least one major cloud provider (AWS preferred)
- Extensive experience designing, implementing and managing Kubernetes-based cloud infrastructure
- Experience designing and delivering production cloud solutions at scale
- Strong leadership and team management skills with a consistent record of leading technical teams to success
- Deep understanding of cloud computing principles and technologies across major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Proficiency in infrastructure as code tools and practices (e.g. Terraform)
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
- Preferably hold CKA, CKAD and CKS certifications
- Demonstrated expertise as a technical authority on Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure security, risk, compliance, disaster recovery, high availability architectures, hardware, operating systems and networking connectivity
