About the Role
At WSP, you will have the opportunity to work on landmark projects alongside some of the brightest minds in the industry. We are currently seeking an experienced Principal or Associate Mechanical Engineer with a background in healthcare projects to join our large, dynamic, and supportive London team. Your responsibilities will include delivering HVAC system designs at all RIBA stages, supervising detailed design completion and the work of others, leading feasibility studies, producing detailed and performance specifications, and managing equipment schedules. You will regularly brief the project team, ensure all members understand the scope and appointment documents, review design programmes, and monitor resource allocation. Additionally, you will lead the ongoing update of the project Cost to Complete (CTC), monitor project engineers’ work against budgets, and flag any potential profit or loss to your Discipline Team Leader.

You will be part of a Building Services team of over 100 mechanical, electrical, and public health engineers, including specialist E&S and Smart Team members. We pride ourselves on attracting, developing, and retaining top professionals, upholding the highest ethical standards, and fostering a respectful, diverse, and supportive work environment.
