About the Role
We are looking for a Procurement & Contracts Officer to play a key role in the management, administration and performance monitoring of the Council’s Housing Asset Management Partnering Contracts. These strategic contracts support the delivery of planned maintenance, major works, capital investment and improvement programmes across the Council’s housing stock.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Haringey’s Asset Management team at a time of significant investment in our homes. The primary focus of the role is ensuring the Council’s partnering contracts are effectively managed throughout their lifecycle, delivering high-quality services, value for money and positive outcomes for residents.

You will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day contract management and administration of a range of housing contracts, ensuring contractors meet their contractual obligations and deliver against agreed performance standards. This will include monitoring contractor performance, reviewing and analysing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), overseeing social value commitments, maintaining contract records and supporting effective contract compliance.

A significant part of the role will involve contract administration, including maintaining accurate contract documentation and monitoring contractual obligations. You will also support occasional procurement and commissioning activity, including obtaining quotations, supporting tender exercises and evaluations and helping to ensure compliance with procurement legislation and the Council’s procurement procedures.

About the Team
The Housing Major Works Team is responsible for delivering a programme of investment and improvement works across Haringey’s housing stock. Working closely with contractors, consultants and residents, the team manages major refurbishment and maintenance projects that help ensure homes remain safe, sustainable and fit for the future. As part of a collaborative and commercially focused service, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality outcomes and value for money for residents.

Requirements

Experience
Proven experience in contract management, contract administration, supplier performance management or a related discipline, ideally within housing, asset management, construction, property services or the public sector.
Experience monitoring contractor performance, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and supporting effective contract administration throughout contract lifecycles.
Experience working with contractors, partners and stakeholders at all levels, using performance data and commercial insight to drive service improvement, manage risks and ensure contractual commitments are delivered effectively.
Strong understanding of contract management principles including performance monitoring, governance, compliance, risk management and supplier relationship management.
Experience monitoring KPIs, producing performance reports, supporting contract review meetings, maintaining contractual records and overseeing social value commitments is highly advantageous.

About You
Organised, proactive and commercially aware professional.
Confident interpreting contract documentation, analysing complex information and identifying practical solutions to contractual and operational challenges.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, maintain accurate records and meet governance requirements.
Collaborative, outcome-focused and committed to delivering excellent services for residents.
Ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues, contractors and stakeholders while confidently challenging underperformance and promoting continuous improvement.
Committed to helping achieve the Council’s housing investment and asset management objectives.
