About the Role
Every great project at The Crown Estate, from a Mayfair building to an offshore energy programme, starts with a fair, transparent and well-run procurement. We're looking for a Procurement Specialist to help us deliver them. You'll manage a varied portfolio of tenders across categories, working alongside our Strategic Procurement Managers. You'll be the go-to person for best-practice tender advice, creating strong documentation, running a clean process and ensuring full compliance with the Procurement Act 2023. This role suits someone who enjoys variety and wants their work to make a difference.
Key responsibilities include managing a portfolio of procurement projects that are fair, transparent, proportionate and compliant; helping shape sourcing strategies with creative, value-for-money ideas; lowering barriers for SMEs; developing and reviewing tender documentation; running the tender query process with a full audit trail; advising and supporting project managers on smaller "self-service" tenders; maintaining an accurate procurement pipeline; supporting larger strategic procurements including moderations, presentations and bidder dialogue sessions; overseeing selected key contracts and assisting colleagues with correct application of terms; embedding sustainability and social value into procurements; improving tender processes; and applying procurement governance to ensure decisions are auditable and audit-ready.

You will have access to a competitive salary, pension, performance-related bonus, flexible working, market-leading family policies, shopping discounts in the West End, private healthcare, life and critical illness cover, and 28 days holiday with the option to buy more. An information webinar hosted by the hiring manager and Director of Procurement & SRM will be held to provide further insight into the role.
Experience
Proven experience managing end-to-end procurement across a range of categories, ideally using e-tendering software. Strong understanding of public sector procurement and Public Procurement Regulations.
About you
Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and numeracy. Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver training. A solution-focused approach with a willingness to innovate and improve processes.
