The Post Supporting particular aspects of the pre-procurement, procurement and contract management activities, producing accurate tender packs and obtaining approvals of frameworks , working with other team members as appropriate to ensure that all procurement work is completed to the satisfaction of the team and stakeholders. Examples of what you will be doing are: Involved in low to medium value procurement projects, publishing contract notices on Find a Tender Service and on Contracts Finder Responding to tender-related queries Providing procurement advice and technical assistance to colleagues Evaluating bids based on financial and qualitative criteria Ensuring the contracts register and procurement tracker is accurate and up to date The Person What we are looking for along with specific procurement related experience is: A person who has the potential and can do attitude, have a willingness to learn, adapt and contribute to the teams objectives. Proficient with Microsoft Word and MS Excel Excellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to build strong and constructive relationships Some experience of dealing with highly confidential & sensitive data Able to analyse complex data and demonstrate attention to detail Proven ability to work on initiative & with minimum direct supervision in a busy office environment Some of key traits we would want to see showcase in your application are: Great attention to detail: A junior procurement professional should have a keen eye for details to ensure accuracy in the tender documentation Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for interacting with the team and key stakeholders. Well organised is crucial for managing procurement documentation and maintaining a systematic approach. Problem solving - Even with limited experience, the ability to identify and address simple procurement challenges or discrepancies is valuable. Excellent time management - you should be able to prioritise tasks and mange time efficiently to meet deadlines.
