About the Role
We’re Civica, a global software company delivering critical services to over 100 million citizens worldwide across local government, education, health, and care sectors. As a Product Manager - Pensions, you will define the strategic vision for the pensions product set, aligned with Civica’s overall mission to be a GovTech champion. You will lead product managers and collaborate closely with product design, user research, engineering, and commercial teams to oversee the entire product lifecycle. Your role includes creating clear, customer-focused requirements, executing product strategy hands-on, and ensuring product roadmaps align with our global vision to maximise productivity and growth.

Key responsibilities include contributing to the pensions product strategy, socialising product direction with stakeholders and customers, prioritising software and regulatory enhancements, and maintaining a deep understanding of customer needs and market trends. You will work cross-functionally to ensure successful product development and launch, conduct customer research, and analyse product performance data to drive continuous improvement. You will champion knowledge sharing and maintain thorough product decision and design documentation, ensuring timely delivery of impactful product features and releases.

Experience
- Strong experience in product management of pensions software solutions.
- Extensive knowledge of local government or public sector pensions software and regulation.
- Proven product management experience in a modern software or product-led organisation.
- Experience working with Agile development methodologies to manage product development and collaborate with engineering teams.
- Ability to navigate and manage the complexities of product lifecycle management.
- Strong analytical skills to collect, analyse, and interpret data to inform product decisions and identify market opportunities.
- Skilled in prioritising features, requirements, and tasks based on customer needs, business goals, and technical feasibility.
- Demonstrated ability to build and execute a product roadmap and strategy aligned with customer needs and company goals.
- Effective collaborator with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer success.
- Experience crafting compelling stories to communicate product vision, value, and benefits to stakeholders at various levels.
