About the Role
An exciting opportunity to join the migration team, delivering projects and providing policy support to the Black Community Action Plan (BCAP). Brent is a vibrant London borough with a rich history of ethnic and cultural diversity, spanning both inner and outer London. The council is undergoing a far-reaching transformation agenda to better meet the needs of its diverse community.
As Project Lead Migration, you will join a small team responsible for delivering migration and BCAP-related projects. Your role includes providing policy and project support to the BCAP steering group, re-starting the Migration Co-ordination Group to bring together statutory partners for joined-up support for new arrivals, and developing the refugee voice project to ensure new arrivals can influence integration initiatives.
This role requires innovation, creativity, and strategic thinking to navigate the constantly changing migration policy landscape and to develop and deliver effective solutions.

Experience
Experience working in migration policy, community engagement, or related project delivery is desirable. Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and statutory partners.

You will be a hard-working team player, comfortable working both collaboratively and autonomously. Innovation, creativity, and strategic thinking are essential to this role. You will be adaptable to the evolving migration policy environment and able to develop and implement innovative solutions. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills are important to effectively support the BCAP steering group and Migration Co-ordination Group.
Qualifications
Relevant qualifications in public policy, community development, social sciences, or related fields are advantageous but not mandatory. A commitment to continuous professional development and learning is expected.
