About the Role
As a Quality Assurance and Safeguarding Officer, you will monitor the quality and safety of regulated and non-regulated adult social care services. You will conduct visits to care providers to assess compliance and identify improvement opportunities. You will lead and coordinate safeguarding enquiries and investigations, as defined in Haringey’s Quality Assurance and Contract Monitoring Framework. Supporting the Chair of safeguarding strategy meetings and contributing to multi-agency safeguarding arrangements will be key responsibilities. You will work closely with providers to improve practice and strengthen safeguarding arrangements, develop and maintain systems for monitoring quality and safeguarding performance, and analyse information to produce reports, briefings, and recommendations for senior leaders. Responding to concerns, complaints, and emerging risks within the care market, you will collaborate with health colleagues, social work teams, mental health services, and other partners to improve outcomes for residents. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about quality improvement who wants to positively influence adult social care across the borough.
About the Team
Our Adult Social Care Commissioning and Quality Assurance Team is committed to ensuring residents receive safe, responsive, and person-centred support. We work collaboratively with care providers, health colleagues, safeguarding partners, and people who draw on services to drive quality improvement across the local care market. We are a supportive and ambitious team that values innovation, partnership working, and continuous learning. Together, we focus on improving outcomes for residents by embedding the principles of Gloriously Ordinary Lives, ensuring people are not defined by the services they receive but are supported to pursue the lives they want to lead.
