We are looking for Early Career Professionals to join our growing Rail Advisory business. Our Advisory business provides strategic advice to clients and supports major infrastructure projects across all aspects of Railway Operations, Maintenance, Rolling Stock and Railway Strategy.

As an Early Career Professional, you will work across all aspects of our business, learning a broad set of skills and knowledge. As you develop breadth, you will be encouraged to identify areas of Rail Advisory to develop deeper expertise. Potential discipline areas include:
- Railway operations modelling, simulation and analysis: working with modelling experts in the UK and India to support capacity planning, performance analysis, timetable modelling and network optimisation.
- Depot operations and Rolling Stock: supporting operational requirements, depot safety analysis, layouts and optimisation, as well as due diligence, specification development and auditing.
- Strategy and feasibility: advising clients on rail strategies, feasibility studies, business case development and introduction of new systems and technologies.
- Digital Advisory: supporting transformation projects, digital technology implementation, technical partnerships and data strategies.
- Railway Operations and Maintenance: working with experienced operators and maintainers to develop operational concepts, performance strategies, and control operations.
- Asset Management: supporting asset managers to develop plans, procedures, asset data analysis, digital transformation and predictive maintenance.

In all roles, you will act in a client-facing capacity, developing core consultancy and client skills. You will also undertake project and commercial management tasks to build a rounded set of technical and non-technical capabilities, preparing you to become a well-rounded rail consultant.

Requirements

Experience
An engineering, mathematical or computer science degree. Some relevant postgraduate experience in a rail-related environment is desirable. Experience or understanding of railways in governance, systems, technologies, operations, maintenance or scheme development is advantageous. Awareness of the consultancy environment is preferred.

About you
Ability to think holistically, ideally applying systems thinking to complex problems. Organisational skills with a proactive and collaborative approach. Confidence in speaking clearly and persuasively, presenting ideas effectively. Strong written communication skills for reports and presentations.

Qualifications
A degree in engineering, mathematics or computer science is required. Other qualifications are not mandatory but a willingness to learn and develop is essential.
