As Regional English Lead for the North, you will be a key figure within our northern school community, bringing energy, vision, and deep subject passion to every classroom. Working closely with the National Lead for Secondary English and the North Regional Education Director, you will collaborate with Principals and Heads of Department to build thriving, high-performing English teams that inspire thousands of young people.

The role includes 2 days teaching at Lift Firth Park, with remaining days working from home and travelling to other regional schools. You will lead the implementation of the regional English strategy, coach and inspire English leaders, model exceptional teaching practice, and foster a culture of collaboration and high expectations.

This dynamic role blends strategic leadership with hands-on teaching, shaping national subject expertise and driving transformational impact across the network. Together, we are building extraordinary places to learn and work, ensuring every child receives a world-class English education.

Experience
Proven success as a secondary English leader with a strong record of improving teaching standards and student outcomes.
Significant knowledge of effective secondary English education and ambition to develop national-level expertise.
Experience working collaboratively with school leaders and regional directors to build team capacity.
