About the Role
Join Maria Mallaband Care Group as a Registered Nurse and be empowered to deliver exceptional care every day. In this role, you will advocate for residents by planning daily activities, creating personalised care plans, and ensuring individual needs and choices are met. You will champion dignity and safety, act as a role model to colleagues, and provide meaningful support to residents living with complex care needs including dementia. Key responsibilities include medication administration, care planning, safeguarding, infection prevention, team and shift management, liaising with General Practitioners and Multi-Disciplinary Teams, and upholding clinical governance standards. Ashmead Care Centre offers specialised care for older people with nursing needs, featuring a recently refurbished, modern environment with communal areas, personalised private spaces, and a varied programme of activities to promote wellbeing and community engagement.

Experience
Nursing home experience as a Registered General Nurse is desirable but not essential. Previous experience in the role is ideal but not required; newly qualified nurses are welcome.

About you
You demonstrate compassion, dedication, and commitment to enhancing quality of life. You have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a continuous desire to develop clinical skills. You are confident in clinical decision-making, leadership, and care planning. You are able to perform physical tasks such as assisting residents with mobility and take responsibility for shifts as Nurse in charge.

Qualifications
A nursing qualification recognised by the UK NMC. A valid UK NMC PIN and registration to practice as a Registered General Nurse (RGN), Learning & Disability Nurse (RNLD), or Mental Health Nurse (RMN) is essential.
