We have a great opportunity for a Research and Public Policy Manager to join the team on a permanent basis. You'll be based at the Westminster Bridge Road office. What you'll need: To be organised, with the ability to manage projects to a range of deadlines. Experience of developing and managing research projects. Excellent knowledge and understanding of public policy development. An understanding of how original research can influence public policy. Strong knowledge of key public policy issues, debates and regulatory requirements. If this sounds like you, this role might be perfect for you! A bit about the role: The Research and Public Policy Manager will lead on our public policy programme and develop and deliver research programmes. These will help us understand and share our customers experiences, to stimulate debate, influence policy and inform our external relations activity. Some of the key results for the role include: Develop Peabody’s public policy positioning based on sound research and reliable evidence, while understanding our priorities, delivery and messaging. Oversee our response to key public policy consultations and gain an understanding of the impact of policy changes. Build strong relationships within Peabody to help with gathering evidence and perspectives to back up our work. Lead on providing original research and thought leadership on issues that matter to our customers and support our influencing activities. Provide knowledge of external policy making and political processes, advising on legislative and regulatory changes. Support the CEO and Exec team with understanding the external context and provide content for board reports and communications. Provide supportive and committed line management our research and public policy analyst. Skills/Experience: Experience writing consultation responses. Experience completing or commissioning policy research, working with external agencies. Experience presenting research findings – both via report and presentations. Knowledge of national government. Has represented an organisation as part of industry group or similar. A minimum of 1 to 2 days working in the office is required, as well as regular attendance at external meetings.
