Here at Peabody, we have an opportunity for a Resettlement Team Manager on a fixed-term basis for 12 months in Southend. A bit about the role: As a Resettlement Team Manager, you will be provide leadership and direction to a team delivering support services to Refugees and their families. You will manage the resettlement and integration of Refugees who have been accommodated by Southend Council as part of the UKs Resettlement programs. You will work with the Council to secure, prepare and stock properties ahead of a families arrival. Supporting the families to settle and integrate, and access local services such as, health, education, training and benefits as well as make informed choices about their lives and wellbeing. Some of the key results for the role include: Recruit, lead, motivate, develop and supervise a staff team to deliver individual programmes of support to service users and their families. Take the lead on day to day health and safety responsibility for staff delivering support in an accommodation based setting. Ensure the training and staff development needs of the team are met. Manage deployment of support staff across area of responsibility to meet service contractual and operational requirements within budget, including cover arrangements as required. Ensure the effective delivery of the Resettlement service in Southend. Ensure properties are ready for occupation within a specified time frame Provide a positive role model for support workers, by modelling good practice, advising on, and intervening in, complex and/or high-risk cases as required. Maintain accurate records to evidence key performance targets and other reporting requirements. Work closely with Southend City Council to prioritise placements and assess the needs of potential service users.
