You will maintain a frontloaded caseload of schools, delivering financial management advice and training to school staff at all levels. You will manage and support projects related to financial and resource management, including delivering training programmes and developing software solutions for effective budget monitoring and management.
Your role will be pivotal in supporting school financial sustainability by assisting schools to set sustainable budgets, monitoring and managing risks for school leaders and governors, and supporting deficit recovery planning. You will also play a major role in the planning, coordination, and strategic development of the Dedicated Schools Grant for schools, High Needs, and Early Years, including budget modelling, forecasting, finance recommendations, and communicating key changes to senior management and schools.
Working closely with the head of service and Assistant Director, you will contribute to schools forum reporting, relationship management, and decision making. Collaboration and partnership working with a wide range of stakeholders including schools, internal departments, other local authorities, education professionals, and central government will be essential.
We encourage applications from candidates who want to make a positive difference to our residents and borough. This is an exciting opportunity to join Ealing Council at a time of growth and ambition.
