This full-time, fixed-term maternity cover position offers an exciting opportunity to join Millbrook Park CE Primary School, a vibrant and nurturing Church of England primary school and nursery in Barnet. As Senior Administrative Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the school’s administration from day one. You will work closely with the School Business Manager, admin officer, and other school staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations. The role requires a strong understanding of safeguarding, school management information systems, employment terms and conditions, and data protection. You will be part of a warm and welcoming workplace that values every member of its community and offers strong professional development and wellbeing support.

Requirements

Experience
- Proven experience as a school administrator, able to integrate quickly and provide effective support.
- Sound knowledge of safeguarding in school settings.
- Familiarity with school management information systems, ideally Arbor.
- Understanding of school employment terms and conditions (Burgundy Book, Green Book).
- Nursery administration experience is desirable.
- Working knowledge of data protection regulations.

- Comfortable with school IT solutions including Microsoft Excel, Word, Google Mail and Drives.
- Experienced with standard school applications such as MIS (Arbor), visitor management systems, and parent payment platforms (Arbor, ParentPay).
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Efficient problem solver and effective decision maker.
- Self-motivated, uses initiative, dedicated and consistent.
- Well presented, articulate, and an effective communicator.
- Friendly yet firm when required.
- Able to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, staff, and governors.
- Works well as part of a team.
- Discrete and able to handle confidential information appropriately.
