About the Role
We are seeking 3 skilled, dynamic, and motivated Social Workers to join our Children in Care (CIC) Team. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference by driving change and achieving excellence for children and young people in Barnet. You will work directly with a varied caseload of children in care, ranging from a few months old to 18 years, supporting them through their journey as their corporate parents. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing timely and effective care plans and pathway plans to achieve permanency and stability in placements, conducting risk assessments and safety planning, and collaborating with partners to keep children safe. You will also engage in assessments, care planning, and life story work, while developing creative and challenging ways of working to support children’s independence and transition to the care leaving service.

Experience
Recent experience as a case holder for Looked After Children with a proven track record in developing and implementing effective care and pathway plans. Experience in risk assessments, safety planning, and working collaboratively with partners to safeguard children and young people.

An experienced social worker with creative and analytical thinking skills, passionate about achieving the best outcomes for looked after children. You will be motivated to develop innovative approaches to support children in care and help them progress towards independence and successful transitions.

Relevant social work qualifications and registration as required for the role. Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to safeguarding and safer recruitment procedures.
