About the Role
The Safeguarding, Quality Assurance and Workforce Development Service are seeking a dynamic, child-centred Practice and Learning Manager to support the next phase of our organisational journey. This role involves embedding our enhanced practice model, extending internal training offers and practice approaches with a focus on family feedback, supporting child and family participation work, and advancing our ‘grow your own’ workforce development initiatives.

You will have managerial responsibilities supporting the Students/Apprentices/ASYE workstream and service development, while playing a key role in embedding learning activities and practice development across Family Services and the wider partnership. Building relationships and developing opportunities with relevant stakeholders will be essential.

You will work closely with the management team and quality assurance systems to identify areas for development in practice, design and deliver learning events and opportunities that enhance social work practice, support the workforce, and improve outcomes for children and families. A strong background in practice leadership and an excellent understanding of local and national issues impacting social work practice are required. Commitment to delivering high-quality services for vulnerable and marginalised children and families is essential.

Requirements

Experience
Experience in practice leadership within social work, with a strong understanding of local and national issues affecting social work practice. Experience in managing learning and development activities and supporting workforce development is essential.
