About the Role
You will take a strategic lead for public health in protecting and improving the health of Barnet residents, focusing on Living and Ageing Well priorities including NHS Health Checks, cardiovascular disease prevention, cancer screening, immunisations, and healthy ageing. Working collaboratively with council services, NHS organisations, voluntary and community sector partners, and other stakeholders, you will drive improvements in population health outcomes through prevention, partnership working, and evidence-based approaches. As part of the Live and Age Well and Health Protection team, you will work closely with another Public Health Strategist and Public Health Officers to deliver shared priorities through a one-team approach. You will also contribute to wider Public Health priorities such as neighbourhood working, population health management, health protection resilience, emergency response activity, and cross-cover arrangements as required. Experience
Proven experience in leading, managing, implementing, and evaluating public health programmes and projects. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with NHS partners and other stakeholders to improve health outcomes. Strong analytical skills with the ability to use evidence, data, and intelligence to identify priorities and drive improvements.

Ability to build effective partnerships and deliver complex programmes through collaboration and influence. Qualifications
Relevant qualifications in public health or a related field are expected. Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to stringent safer recruitment procedures including right to work checks, DBS, and other relevant screenings.
