About the Role
The Senior Administrator will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the office and the development, implementation, and maintenance of high-quality office practices and procedures to ensure all non-clinical requirements of the team are met. Key duties include providing a professional receptionist service, managing telephone calls and correspondence, preparing documents using Microsoft Office software, arranging meetings and training events, and maintaining effective filing and stock control systems.
The role also involves patient administration tasks such as inputting and retrieving patient details and statistical data, coordinating client appointments within the IAPT service, maintaining patient case notes in line with Trust policies, and assisting with audits and archiving.
Site administration responsibilities include reporting repair requests and supporting health and safety compliance to maintain a safe environment for clients and visitors.
Effective communication with patients, carers, visitors, medical staff, general practitioners, and voluntary agencies is essential to provide non-clinical advice and information.
The Senior Administrator will supervise temporary and permanent administrative staff, manage databases and office equipment, and develop relationships with internal and external agencies.
Participation in local induction, supervision, appraisal programmes, and ongoing training is expected to support personal development and fulfil role objectives.
Experience
Proven experience in office and administrative management, including handling telephone and face-to-face enquiries professionally. Experience with Microsoft Office packages and document preparation is essential. Experience in supervising administrative staff and managing office resources is desirable.

Qualifications
Relevant administrative or secretarial qualifications are desirable. Willingness to participate in training and development activities as required by the Trust.
