The Senior Analyst, LNG role is part of the LSEG D&A Commodity Research team within Global Gas Research. This team delivers market data, develops and supports fundamental forecast models of supply, demand, and prices, and publishes in-depth reports on the natural gas market. Our clients include natural gas and LNG producers, importers, distribution companies, trading houses, and financial and governmental institutions.

In this role, you will analyse and interpret complex market data to provide actionable insights and forward-looking forecasts. You will deliver robust, data-driven views on short-, medium-, and long-term LNG market fundamentals, develop and maintain in-house market models, and continuously improve research tools, processes, and production environments. Ensuring data quality, accuracy, timeliness, and completeness will be a key responsibility. You will also support improvements to analytical tools, charts, and tables, monitor LNG trade flows, and build strong client relationships by attending meetings and responding to queries regarding market content, analytics, reports, and quantitative models.

Experience
- Relevant experience in data analysis of supply and demand commodity fundamentals
- Experience in developing fundamental models is preferable
- Experience in the global LNG market is preferable

About you
- Natural curiosity and a detail-oriented approach
- Ability to synthesise, structure, and explain in-depth analysis
- Strong communication skills in written and spoken English
- Strong grounding in statistics and/or operational research
- Good programming skills (MATLAB, Python, or R)
- Knowledge of Power BI is an advantage

Qualifications
- BA, BSc or Master’s degree, or relevant experience in commodities markets
