About the Role
The Senior Clinical Fellow in Thoracic Surgery will be responsible for the day-to-day management of thoracic surgery in-patients under the supervision of the consultant team. The role involves liaising with on-call consultants and nursing staff regarding emergency and non-elective referrals. Regular attendance in theatres and out-patient clinics is required. The position also includes administrative duties such as the production of discharge summaries, clinic letters, and the communication of pathology results to referring trusts. Additionally, the role contributes to departmental teaching, research, and clinical audit.

Experience
Previous experience in a clinical setting, particularly in thoracic surgery, is preferred.

Qualifications
Applicants must hold a relevant medical degree and be registered with the General Medical Council (GMC). Additional qualifications in thoracic surgery or related fields are advantageous.
