About the Role
We are recruiting a Senior WordPress/PHP Developer to join the Justice Digital, Data and Science Website Builder Platform Team. This role involves coaching and mentoring junior developers and actively contributing to a collaborative engineering community of over 200 experienced developers across the Ministry of Justice. You will work with a diverse tech stack including WordPress/PHP, React JS, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS, with a MacOS developer environment.

Experience
Proven experience delivering large and complex software solutions
Building and maintaining WordPress themes and plugins
Experience with WordPress Full Site Editor features and building WordPress blocks from scratch
Proficient in WordPress/PHP, React JS, CSS/HTML
Experience with version control and CI/CD using GitHub Actions
Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker
Familiarity with AWS architecture and tools
Ability to revise, refactor, debug code and collaborate with internal teams
