Senior Educational Psychologist
Location
London Borough of Newham, Dockside, East London with easy access to London City Airport and the Olympic Park.
Hours
Full time and part time availability considered (minimum 0.6 FTE).
Salary
£68,086 – £72,735 per annum (All Soulbury scales plus inner London weighting and SPA points honoured).
About the Role

As a Senior Educational Psychologist (SEP), you will join a well-regarded service recognised by Ofsted as an area of strength. You will contribute to the leadership team, providing management support and helping to develop the service’s strategic role across the borough. This role offers the opportunity to lead on service developments, project work, and contribute to Newham’s strategic priorities.
The service offers a broad portfolio including early intervention strategies, therapeutic techniques, psychological assessment, and systemic consultation. You will work collaboratively with parents, schools, colleges, child development services, universities, and other professionals to ensure psychology is accessible and impactful. Community initiatives include multi-agency projects supporting inclusion, mental health, youth empowerment, autism services, and family engagement through Video Interaction Guidance.

Experience
Applicants should be experienced Educational Psychologists or motivated professionals keen to contribute to leadership and service development. Newly qualified EPs and EPs in training (year 2 or 3 of a recognised course) are also welcome to apply.

You should be committed to inclusive, anti-racist practice and able to work collaboratively with diverse communities. Flexibility in working arrangements and a willingness to engage in strategic and community initiatives are essential.
Qualifications
Applicants must be professionally qualified Educational Psychologists registered with the HCPC or be in the latter stages of a recognised training course. An enhanced DBS check will be required upon appointment.
