About the Role
The Croydon Council Pension Fund, part of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS), has a total membership of over 36,000 and over 100 scheme employers. Our aim is to provide members and employers with a professional and member-focused service delivering timely and accurate information.
We have an exciting and rewarding permanent opportunity for a Senior Pensions Administrator to join our supportive and knowledgeable team. Working within a busy LGPS administration environment, you will play a key role in delivering a high-quality pension service, handling a varied workload and contributing to the technical excellence of the team.
This role offers an opportunity to further develop your expertise, build on your existing LGPS knowledge, and take on greater responsibility within a collaborative and supportive environment.
Croydon Council operates a hybrid working policy. This role requires a minimum of two days per week in our Croydon office, with additional office attendance as required to meet business needs.

Experience
- Strong LGPS administration experience
- Solid understanding of pension legislation and benefit calculations
- Experience administering the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS)
- Ability to calculate and/or quality check a range of LGPS benefits, with willingness to develop expertise in more complex cases
- Good working knowledge of LGPS legislation and ability to interpret and apply pension regulations accurately
- Experience investigating and resolving pension administration queries, including complex cases
- Experience using LGPS pension administration software such as Altair or similar systems
