About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Pharmacy Technician to assist and supervise the provision of a high-quality chemotherapy compounding service and ensure the safe and accurate provision of supportive medication. This role supports the Chief Technician and Accountable Pharmacist in delivering a safe, efficient, and compliant aseptic pharmacy service to the Trust's patients. You will actively encourage adherence to all procedures related to aseptic services and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), maintain excellent knowledge of relevant procedures, guidelines, and legislation, and participate in the writing, review, and updating of Standard Operating Procedures and Quality Assurance documentation. Daily liaison with pharmacists, production staff, and ward staff is essential to manage workflow efficiently. You will also be expected to problem solve issues such as stock supply, staff availability, equipment failures, and capacity planning to maintain a safe and effective service. Newly qualified technicians are welcome to apply as full training will be provided.

Experience
Experience in aseptic pharmacy services or chemotherapy compounding is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided. Ability to work under supervision and support senior staff is required.

Qualifications
Qualified Pharmacy Technician status is required. Newly qualified technicians are encouraged to apply. A strong willingness to learn and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Trust policies is essential.
