Senior Practitioner Educational Psychologist
Location
London Borough of Newham, Dockside, East London. Easy access to London City Airport and the Olympic Park.
Hours
Full time and part time availability considered (minimum 0.6 FTE).
Salary
Up to £66,748 per annum, inclusive of all Soulbury scales, inner London weighting, and SPA points.
About the Role

Our Educational Psychology Service (EPS) is highly valued and recognised by Ofsted as an area of strength. We prioritise collaboration with parents and professionals to make psychology accessible to all. This Senior Practitioner role offers opportunities for supervision, project development, leadership, and team building within the EPS.
As a Senior Practitioner Educational Psychologist, you will deliver evidence-based, high quality psychological services to children, young people, and families. You will work across a range of settings including mainstream and special schools, colleges, child development services, and universities. Your work will involve early intervention strategies, therapeutic techniques, psychological assessment, systemic consultation, and contributions to team developments such as emotion coaching, ELSA training and supervision, reflective supervision, and strategic initiatives including EBSA, trauma-informed practice, and critical incident support.
Community initiatives you may engage with include Thriving Communities, Youth Empowerment Service, CHAND (Children with Autism in Newham), and Video Interaction Guidance for families with young children. This is an exciting opportunity to practice, develop, and grow as an Educational Psychologist in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Experience
- Experienced Educational Psychologists, newly qualified EPs, and EPs in training (years 2 or 3) are welcome to apply.
- Proven commitment to supporting the inclusion and wellbeing of vulnerable children and young people.
- Experience working successfully within multi-disciplinary teams and developing positive partnerships.

Qualifications
- Professionally qualified Educational Psychologist registered with the HCPC or currently in year 2 or 3 of a recognised training course.
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
