Hours
Full time and part time availability considered (minimum 0.6 FTE).

Salary
Up to £66,748 per annum, inclusive of all Soulbury scales, inner London weighting and SPA points.

About the Role
Newham is a vibrant, diverse borough committed to ensuring all children and young people with SEND receive outstanding education and support. As a Senior Practitioner Educational Psychologist, you will deliver evidence-based, high quality psychological services to children, young people and families. You will work collaboratively with parents, schools, colleges, child development services, universities and other professionals to promote inclusion and wellbeing. This role offers opportunities for supervision, project development, leadership and team building within the Educational Psychology Service (EPS). You will contribute to a range of initiatives including early intervention strategies, therapeutic techniques, psychological assessment, systemic consultation, emotion coaching, ELSA training and supervision, trauma informed practice, and critical incident support.

Community projects include:
- Thriving Communities: supporting inclusion by improving attendance, reducing exclusions and enhancing mental health and wellbeing in young people affected by violence.
- Youth Empowerment Service: partnering with UEL and EPS to enhance youth work practice with systemic approaches and group supervision.
- CHAND: multidisciplinary support for children with autism, focusing on their abilities and support needs.
- Video Interaction Guidance: engaging families with children aged 0-5 to improve interactions and relationships within a multi-disciplinary context.

Requirements

Experience
Applicants should be experienced Educational Psychologists committed to supporting the inclusion and wellbeing of vulnerable children and young people. Experience in multi-disciplinary teamwork and developing positive professional relationships is essential. We welcome applications from experienced, newly qualified EPs and those in training (years 2 or 3 of a recognised course).

Qualifications
Professionally qualified Educational Psychologist registered with the HCPC or in year 2 or 3 of a recognised training course. Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check is required.
