As a Social Worker in our Children in Care teams, you will provide statutory services to children in care, their families, and support networks. You will work restoratively, using systemic tools to ensure the happiness and safety of children under the Council’s corporate parenting role. This role offers a unique development opportunity, including handling the majority of court work related to care proceedings, supported by senior colleagues, Practice Development Social Workers, a CP Chair service, and a clinical team of qualified Family Therapists.

Experience
Applicants must be qualified social workers who have completed their ASYE and have experience working with children in care and their families. Experience of practice within the UK and valid registration with Social Work England is essential. A clear understanding of working restoratively and systemically with children in care is required and will be assessed at interview.

Qualifications
Qualified Social Worker with valid registration with Social Work England. Completion of ASYE or equivalent practice experience is required.
