About the Role
Fairplay Outdoor Education Centre, owned and funded by the London Borough of Newham, offers a wide range of land and water based activities for schools, businesses, youth groups and clubs. Situated in a spectacular 12-acre natural location less than an hour’s drive from London (45 minutes direct train from London Liverpool Street), the centre provides tailored, flexible Outdoor Education Programmes with residential facilities for up to 79 pupils and 8 staff.

We are seeking an Estates Manager to support the team by managing the site, its grounds and buildings to ensure they are safe, secure, compliant and maintained to the highest standards expected by our guests. You will lead on all aspects of maintenance and compliance, ensuring the site operates smoothly and safely.

This position reports directly to the Head of Centre and is based at Fairplay House, Wickham Bishops, Essex.

Experience
Proven experience in caretaking, site management and record keeping is essential. Experience leading maintenance and compliance activities is required.

You are organised, proactive and able to work independently. You have a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and security. You are able to lead and coordinate maintenance tasks effectively and have excellent communication skills.

Qualifications
Relevant qualifications in site or estates management, maintenance or a related field would be advantageous but are not explicitly stated as mandatory.
