About the Role
We are recruiting two experienced Early Help SEND Practitioners to join a newly created SEND Targeted Early Help team within the London Borough of Newham. This fixed term contract is for 12 months. As a Lead Practitioner, you will case-hold families, write qualitative Early Help assessments and family plans, and deliver planned, purposeful, and focused family-led interventions. Your work will build resilience for parents and carers and improve education, health, and social outcomes for children with disabilities and/or additional needs. You will collaborate within a multi-professional team following the one family one plan approach. Our Early Help and Prevention Services aim to provide timely, joined-up support to children and families, focusing on early detection and intervention to prevent escalation of needs and reduce referrals to child protection services. Experience
Proven experience working as an Early Help Practitioner, preferably with children and families with SEND. Experience in case-holding, assessment, and delivering targeted interventions is essential.

Committed to improving outcomes for children with disabilities and additional needs. Able to work collaboratively within multi-professional teams. Strong communication and family engagement skills. Motivated to work within a dynamic, culturally rich borough with a focus on systemic and restorative practice.
Qualifications
Relevant professional qualifications and/or experience in social care, education, health or related fields are expected. A commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to safeguarding policies is essential.
