About the Role
This is a specialist statutory court role within the Safeguarding and Care Planning Service, focused on delivering high quality social work in children’s care proceedings. As a Senior Practitioner in the Court Team, you will work with children at significant risk of harm where court intervention is necessary to ensure their safety. The role offers a manageable caseload (around 11 children) and the opportunity to produce high quality court reports and assessments. You will be part of a stable, experienced team with consistent leadership, working closely with Bromley’s in-house Children’s Legal Team and supported by a dedicated Court Proceedings Case Manager. Experience
- Recent statutory children and families social work experience
- Recent experience of care proceedings and court work
- Ability to produce high quality court reports and assessments
- Strong safeguarding knowledge, risk analysis skills, and professional judgement

Qualifications
- Recognised social work qualification (Degree, DipSW or equivalent)
- Current registration with Social Work England or ability to register before start date
- This role is not suitable for newly qualified social workers or those without statutory social work experience
