About the Role
Are you looking for a unique teaching experience supporting children with SEND and medical needs who are not accessing a school setting? We are seeking outstanding teachers of core subjects with Qualified Teacher Status to join our expanding Personalised Education Service. This statutory service provides short-term, interim education and support for children aged 5–16 who cannot attend school due to medical needs or have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) but are not currently attending provision.

The role involves delivering lessons across a range of age groups and key stages (KS2/3/4) in various settings including our tuition centre, local libraries, pupils’ homes, and online via Teams. You will work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team including qualified teachers, SENCO, therapist, caseworkers, and support officers. Teaching is typically 1:1 or in small groups, allowing for highly individualised education in a calm environment.

We use innovative technology such as the AV1 audio visual unit and provide education in hospital settings including the Princess Royal University Hospital. Monthly supervision and regular CPD sessions support professional development. This is a rewarding opportunity to develop your skills working with children with SEND, physical and mental health needs, and to contribute to a service committed to personalised, evidence-based education.
