About the Role
At WSP, you will have the opportunity to work on landmark projects that make a real difference globally. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor within our Project Management and Commercial Management (PMCM) Buildings team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering pre- and post-contract Cost & Commercial Management services. Your responsibilities will include estimating, cost planning, procurement, cost assurance, and post-contract financial and commercial management of projects varying in size and complexity. Depending on your experience and seniority, you may lead QS/commercial teams, mentor staff, contribute to bid writing, win new work, and represent WSP UK at industry events.
You will join a diverse and growing team of Cost Managers, Commercial Managers, Quantity Surveyors, and related professionals working across multiple sectors. The PMCM team comprises approximately 400 colleagues across the UK, providing Quantity Surveying, Cost and Commercial Management, Programme and Project Management, and Project Controls services for both Building and Infrastructure projects for public and private clients.

Experience
- Demonstrable Quantity Surveying or Cost and Commercial Management experience in public and private sectors and/or heavy industry projects
- Experience working in QS/Cost and Commercial Management roles within consultant, contractor, or client organisations
- Proven management, project leadership, and delivery experience where applicable
- Familiarity or working knowledge of specialist software such as CostX and CEMAR
- Working knowledge/experience of NEC and/or JCT Contracts and other industry standard contract forms
- Ability to travel from base office or home to sites, client/project team offices, other WSP offices, and project locations

Qualifications
- MRICS or AssocRICS, or working towards a professional qualification
- Degree or similar higher education academic qualification
