About the Role
Join Janus Henderson as a Senior Security Analyst and play a pivotal role in protecting and advancing our cybersecurity posture. You will act as a senior escalation point for complex and high-severity alerts across SIEM, EDR, Cloud, and Identity platforms. Lead end-to-end incident response including investigation, containment, eradication, and post-incident review. Coordinate mitigation actions across infrastructure, network, and legal teams to isolate compromised environments, prevent data exfiltration, and minimize downtime.

Drive the strategic direction for incident response services aligned with emerging threats and oversee the development of cybersecurity playbooks. Correlate alerts with threat intelligence and business context to assess risk and impact, producing clear investigation summaries for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Support digital evidence preservation and forensic collection efforts.

Engage in proactive threat hunting using queries, dashboards, and behavioral analytics. Identify detection gaps using frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK and translate findings into improved detections and playbooks. Tune alerts to reduce noise while maintaining coverage and collaborate with Detection Engineering to enhance detection logic.

Leverage AI-enabled SOC tooling to accelerate investigations and improve workflows. Mentor junior analysts, provide leadership during incidents, and contribute to continuous SOC improvements. Collaborate with Security Engineering, internal teams, and external vendors to enhance vulnerability remediation and support regulatory compliance including SOX and GLBA.

At Janus Henderson, you will benefit from generous holiday policies, excellent health and wellbeing programs including corporate membership to Wellhub, paid volunteer time, professional development support, parental leave benefits, employee networking events, and a subsidized onsite canteen with lunch allowance.

Nice to have: 5+ years in Incident Response, experience with AI or machine learning features in security products, SOAR workflows, regulated or large enterprise environments, and relevant Information Security certifications (e.g., SANS, Cloud Certifications).
