About the Role
At Moody's, we unite the brightest minds to turn today’s risks into tomorrow’s opportunities. We strive to create an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome to be who they are—with the freedom to exchange ideas, think innovatively, and listen to each other and customers in meaningful ways. Moody’s is transforming how the world sees risk. As a global leader in ratings and integrated risk assessment, we’re advancing AI to move from insight to action—enabling intelligence that not only understands complexity but responds to it. We decode risk to unlock opportunity, helping our clients navigate uncertainty with clarity, speed, and confidence.
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Corporates and Government engineering team, you will design, build, and maintain secure, scalable software solutions. You will contribute as a senior hands-on engineer within an agile product environment, developing backend services, APIs, integrations, and platform capabilities. You will collaborate with product managers, engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver high-impact product features and help shape pragmatic architecture decisions.
You will maintain high standards for code quality, testing, documentation, performance, reliability, and security, while using AI-powered development tools responsibly to streamline workflows and improve delivery quality. Supporting production systems through monitoring, troubleshooting, incident response, and continuous improvement will be part of your role. Additionally, you will mentor associate and software engineers through code review, pairing, debugging, and knowledge sharing.
Our Corporates and Government (C&G) team delivers technology solutions supporting Moody's corporate and public sector clients. Joining this team means working on enterprise software development, public sector innovation, and global impact initiatives—where hands-on technical leadership and AI-enhanced engineering practices are central to success. Moody's Compliance & Third-Party Risk platform is a high-performance, cloud-based SaaS solution designed for speed, scalability, and reliability, empowering organizations worldwide to harness complex data and drive smarter decisions in real time.
Moody’s is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion. All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender expression, gender identity, or any other characteristic protected by law.
