About the Role
The Senior Structural Interventional Fellow will receive training in expert diagnosis and management of adult patients with valvular heart disease. This role includes training in the performance of structural cardiac interventions, specifically transcatheter mitral and tricuspid valve procedures, and developing proficiency as a primary operator. The fellow will gain expertise in case selection, procedural judgment, and technical ability for structural cardiac interventions, demonstrating competency with pre-procedure evaluation, timely reporting of results, and therapeutic recommendations. The fellowship will encompass high volume structural interventional exposure, focusing on Mitral & Tricuspid Intervention, with opportunities to undertake a broad base of other Structural Interventions as outlined in the Learning Objectives. The fellowship will be undertaken cross-site at Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals in line with the team's clinical activities. The appointed fellow will have general Cardiology on-call and ward cover commitments as part of the Specialty Registrar rota.

Requirements

Experience
Experience in structural cardiac interventions is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications
Applicants must hold a relevant medical degree and be registered with the appropriate medical board.
