Description
The vacancy Your typical day could start with leading on the month end process from journal processing to closing ledgers to reporting. Then you might be preparing monthly reports and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) offering insightful commentary to enhance understanding, before supporting the Finance Manager on the monthly projections annual budget process. As a Service Charge Accountant, you'll be the 'face of Peabody' and no one day is the same. You'll serve as a central source of service charge accounting expertise within the Finance team, providing operational advice. With a particular focus on Cultivating appropriate knowledge to comprehend the bigger picture and interdependencies with other teams, you'll actively ensure costs are accurately allocated at the Unique Property Reference Number (UPRN) level for relevant and accurate reporting. You're a people person who likes to get things done. You'll enjoy working collaboratively with other teams and you're first rate at building meaningful relationships across the business to enable you to find creative solutions to issues. You'll need to be in the office 1-2 days per week and the remaining time you'll be able to work remotely. Your role covers all aspects of Service Charge - everything from being fully committed to delivering an excellent customer experience, embodying our values every day in the way you deal with customers and colleagues and Strong relationships with key customers, managers, and internal teams. To be successful in this role, you're: Experienced in management accounting / business reporting role(s), where you've taken the lead on management accounts production. Analytical and confident user of excel with experience of working with large volumes of data and turning it into meaningful information. Able to present financial information clearly for non-finance colleagues. Knowledgeable in accounting software and systems (SUN system desirable). A part qualified accountant and committed to continued professional development.
