About the Role
Are you an expert in service charges and leasehold management? Join A2Dominion’s innovative Service Charge Action and Resolution Team (SCART) and help transform how we manage and communicate service charges to our residents. This is a unique opportunity to apply your specialist knowledge in a role that’s driving real change across our leasehold portfolio.
As a SCART Officer, you’ll be at the forefront of improving transparency and accuracy in service charge delivery. You’ll review accounts, produce clear commentaries, and resolve complex queries from residents and stakeholders. Your leasehold expertise will be key to ensuring compliance, financial clarity, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to service charge queries with clarity and professionalism.
- Collaborate with internal teams to produce accurate service charge estimates, in-year accounts, and year-end reconciliations.
- Maintain detailed records of customer contact and service charge actions.
- Challenge and support contractors and colleagues to uphold service standards.
- Stay up to date with leasehold legislation, building safety, and service charge regulations.
- Represent A2Dominion at meetings, hearings, and forums.
Experience
- Extensive experience of legal aspects of leasehold law and regulations, including sections 20 and 20b.
- Ideally practical experience of preparing and representing cases at Tribunal (FTT and Upper Tribunal) and court.
- Extensive service charge experience.
- Working knowledge of Landlord and Tenant Acts, Statutory Instruments and Regulations.
- Good understanding of leasehold block management in the private sector and working with managing agents both directly employed and appointed by superior landlords.
- Practical knowledge of building safety in leasehold settings.
- Strong data and performance management skills.

Qualifications
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in Maths and English (Grades A*- C).
- Professional qualification (or working towards) such as RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors), ARLA Propertymark, TPI (The Property Institute, formerly IRPM), or CIH (Chartered Institute of Housing).
