About the Role
At WSP, you will have the opportunity to work on landmark projects that make a real difference. Join our Ground & Water team within the Earth & Environment business and contribute to key regional and national projects, alongside core UK and global frameworks. We are expanding our team of Site Engineers (Geo-environmental) to support large scale ground investigations, which will involve a significant amount of site-based work and travel across the UK.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in the day-to-day delivery of projects, working closely with project managers, directors, and team members. Typical activities include groundwater monitoring, supervision of contractors such as drill rigs, soil logging, environmental sampling, chemical and geotechnical testing, groundwater sampling, and ground gas monitoring. You will ensure all work is conducted safely and in line with procedures, maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance.

Our Ground & Water team comprises over 180 professionals providing land contamination management services to a diverse range of private and public sector clients, including property, government agencies, industrial, defence, and nuclear sectors. Experience
- Knowledge of planning and supervision of site investigations
- Understanding of Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations and their application to safe design and implementation of site investigations
- Experience with data handling; GIS experience is desirable

- Holds a full UK driving licence (or equivalent), essential for the role

Qualifications
- Relevant technical degree desirable but not essential (e.g. chemistry, biology, geology, engineering, environmental science)
- Site safety qualifications desirable (e.g. first aid training, Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) or equivalent)
- Willingness and ability to travel to sites across the UK as required
