About the Role
The FT Financial Literacy and Inclusion Campaign (FT FLIC) is a fast-expanding financial literacy charity founded by the Financial Times. FT FLIC promotes financial literacy where it is needed most to create significant, sustainable societal impact. The charity works with young people in schools, adult learners, community groups, and workers across the UK, supporting policy and advocacy work with the mission of giving everyone the tools to build lifelong money confidence.
FT FLIC has developed an award-winning financial literacy curriculum for secondary schools and is building a comprehensive catalogue of digital resources for adult learners. With input from FT journalists, production specialists, educators, and beneficiaries, we create engaging educational materials including videos, lesson materials, guides, worksheets, and supporting resources designed to equip learners with essential financial literacy skills.
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Social Media and Video Officer to support the production, editing, and distribution of engaging financial education content across digital platforms. This role is ideal for someone eager to develop skills in video production, social media management, and content strategy within a dynamic creative team.
You will assist in scripting, filming, editing, and distributing both short-form and long-form video content, optimised for various social platforms. Working closely with the Video and Social Media Manager, you will help bring financial literacy content to life in a clear, engaging, and accessible way. You will also support content optimisation, monitor performance, and contribute ideas to improve engagement.
This role is crucial in providing clear, up-to-date, and accessible financial education resources to help people navigate the financial world, avoid common pitfalls, and maximise opportunities. You will have a strong understanding of social media trends and audience engagement strategies, ensuring content is both informative and compelling.
You will work independently while collaborating with a wider team in a fast-paced, creative environment. Opportunities include contributing to new content formats, supporting live video sessions, and attending industry events.
Beyond reaching beneficiaries, you will support content creation that communicates FT FLIC’s impact to stakeholders including funders, corporate partners, policymakers, and educators. You will contribute content for key campaigns, partner activity, and platforms such as LinkedIn, adapting tone and format for different audiences while maintaining brand consistency.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career video and social media professional to gain hands-on experience and contribute to a mission-driven organisation.
