You will work within WSP’s Intelligent Infrastructure discipline, supporting a wide range of clients in transport and beyond. Our clients seek support in meeting their Social Value objectives through impact strategy development, supply chain data collection, reporting, and compliance to ensure positive community, economic, education, and environmental outcomes. You will help embed social value into client operations to meet growing stakeholder and regulatory demands.

Working in the II Operations and Safety Group, you will collaborate with specialists across WSP, applying your Social Value and monitoring & evaluation expertise to projects and major infrastructure schemes in sectors such as Highways, Rail, and Energy. A typical week might include:

- Developing and owning a client’s Social Value framework at regional or project level, setting priorities and actions
- Undertaking local needs analyses to understand community challenges and how to address them through project delivery
- Co-creating bespoke social value plans for projects
- Working with Project Directors and wider teams to ensure understanding of social value commitments and budget availability
- Collaborating with clients and partners to provide expert social value advice to help deliver objectives and optimise benefits
- Delivering, measuring, and reporting on social value against client KPIs
- Advocating for Social Value within wider supply chains through communication and dissemination activities
- Contributing to the growth of the wider Monitoring and Evaluation capability team to support delivery against its ambitions

This role may require regular working from different offices.

Requirements

Experience
- A passion for evidence-informed decision-making, championing robust Social Value evidence
- Experience evaluating and measuring Social Value data
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills (e.g. statistical, economic or social research)
- Experience articulating qualitative and quantitative impact stories through case studies
- Proven track record of working collaboratively and enthusiastically in multi-partner environments (major programmes, procurement channels etc)
- Ability to multi-task and meet programme needs
