About the Role
The London Borough of Harrow is seeking permanent, experienced Social Workers who are passionate about empowering citizens to reach their full potential. In this role, you will provide a high-quality, effective service that responds to the needs of people with lived experience, their informal carers, and their families. All assessments and support plans are completed in accordance with the wellbeing principles of the Care Act 2014, reflecting a strengths-based approach that helps residents live fulfilling, independent lives within statutory guidelines.

Experience
Experience working as a social worker supporting adults with care needs is required.
Good demonstrable understanding of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Mental Health Act, and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.

About you
Must hold an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
Knowledge of social work models and interventions including strengths-based practice models is desirable.
Understanding of discriminated groups and the ability to ensure services meet their needs is desirable.

Qualifications
Must hold a qualification in social work (BSc/MA in Social Work, Dip SW/HE or CQSW) or have equivalent relevant work experience.
Educated to degree level or equivalent.
