As a Social Worker in Children in Care, you will provide statutory services to children in our care, their families, and support networks. You will work restoratively, using systemic tools to ensure the happiness and safety of children while the Council acts as their corporate parent. This role offers a unique development opportunity, handling the majority of court work related to care proceedings with full support from senior colleagues, Practice Development Social Workers, a CP Chair service, and a Clinical Team of qualified Family Therapists.

Experience
Applicants must have completed their ASYE and gained experience within a service focused on supporting children in care. Experience of practice within the UK and valid registration with Social Work England are essential. A firm understanding of working with children in care, their families, and support networks is required and must be demonstrated at interview.
